A chamber fitted with a piston can be controlled to keep the pressure in the chamber constant as the piston moves up and down to

increase or decrease the chamber volume. The chamber contains an ideal gas at 296 K and 1.00 atm.
What is the work done on the gas as the piston compresses it from 1.00 L to 0.633 L ?Express your answer with the appropriate units.

The work done on the gas is 37J as the piston compresses it from 1.00 L to 0.633 L.

Explanation:

Given:

Ideal gas temperature is 298 K

Atm=1.00

The piston compresses from 1.00 L to 0.633 L.

To Find:

The Work done on the gas

Formula:

W=P(V2 -V1)

where W is the work done on the gas,

P is the pressure of the chamber,

V2 is the second volume of the chamber,

V1 is the first volume of the chamber.

Solution:

         W=P(V2 -V1)

Pressure P is 1 and V2 is 1 and V1 is 0.633

W=(1×10^5)(1-0.633)×10^-3

W=37J

Therefore the work done on the gas is 37J.

Joan needs to eliminate some employees for a short while. She and her managers identify those employees who are not meeting perf
tigry1 [53]

Answer: layoff

Explanation:

From the information in the question, we can see that Jane is trying to reduce the size of the workforce here through layoff.

Since Joan explains that the termination is temporary, then it's a layoff. If it were to be firing, the termination won't be temporary but permanent as they can't be recalled by the company. But since the employees are discharged temporarily, it's a layoff.

Two particles move along an x axis. The position of particle 1 is given by x ! 6.00t 2 # 3.00t # 2.00 (in meters and seconds); t
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

15.6m/s

Explanation:

V1=\frac{dx}{dt}=\frac{d}{dt}(6t^{2}+3t+2) because the derivate of the position is the velocity

V1=12t+3

V2=20+\int\limits^_ {} \,-8t because the integral of the acceleration is the velocity

V2=20-4t^{2}

V1=V2 to see when the velocities of particles match

12t+3=20-4t^2

4t^2+12t-17=0 we resolve this with \frac{-b+-(\sqrt{b^{2} -4ac} )}{2a}

and we take the positif root

t=1.05 sec

if we evaluate the velocity (V1 or V2) the result is 15.6m/s

A car travels 90 km per hour how many how many Kilometres of distance does it travel in one second
gavmur [86]

Answer:

Its Moving at a constant Speed of 90km/hr

You can convert this speed to Meters/Second or Change it to Km/Second(Because we need our distance in Km)

So 90km/hr x 1/60 x1/60

=90km/3600sec

v=0.025km/sec

When an Object Moves at Constant Speed... Its displacement(distance) is given by

d=vt

given v=0.025km/sec

t=1sec

d=0.025km/sec x 1sec

d=0.025km.

If you were looking at a cell specimen through a microscope, how could you tell that the cells belonged to a plant?
Serhud [2]

Structurally, plant and animal cells are very similar because they are both eukaryotic cells, however the few differences that exist between plant and animals are very significant -

Plant cells can be larger than animal cells. The typical range for an animal cell varies from 10 to 30 micrometers while that for a plant cell stretches from 10 to 100 micrometers. Apart from size, the main structural differences between plant and animal cells lie in a few additional structures found in plant cells. These structures include: chloroplasts, the cell wall, and vacuoles.
