Using the theorem of kinetic energy
1/2mVf² - 1/2mVi²= WF + Wp,     Wp=0
WF = F. AB, AB=5m and F= 40N, m=20kg
so the final kinetic  is KEf= 1/2mVf² = WF =F. AB= 40*5=200J

the final velocity is 1/2mVf² =200, implies   Vf= sqrt(20)=2sqrt(5)m/s

Is the series equivalent resistor larger than either resistor, or is it smaller?
VikaD [51]
The equivalent of several resistors in series is always more than the biggest single one, because it's their sum. ... In parallel, the equivalent is always less than the smallest one.

Why is NEWTON'S First Law of Motion often called the LAW OF INERTIA?
ANEK [815]

Answer:

According to newtons first law of motion an object remains in its state of rest or motion in a straight line unless an external unbalanced forces acts upon it. This is the reason why Newtons first law of motion is often called the LAW OF INERTIA

How many places are there for electrons in the third shell of an atom?
kotegsom [21]
Each shell can contain only a fixed number of electrons: The first shell can hold up to two electrons, the second shell can hold up to eight (2 + 6) electrons, the third shell can hold up to18 (2 + 6 + 10) and so on. The general formula is that the nth shell can in principle hold up to 2(n2) electrons.
