Answer:

Measure of required angle = 78.75° , measure of  complementary angle  = 11.25° and measure of supplementary angle = 101.25°

Step-by-step explanation:

let assume measure of required angle = x

since sum of angle and its supplement is 180°

so x + supplement of x = 180

⇒ supplement of x  = 180 - x

since sum of angle and its complement is 90

so x + complement of x = 90

⇒ complement of x = 90 - x

Form given information

supplement of x = 9 × ( complement of x)

⇒180 - x = 9 × ( 90 - x )

⇒ 180 - x = 810 - 9x

⇒ -x + 9x = 810 - 180

⇒ 8x = 630

⇒ x = 630/8 = 78.75°

complement of x = 90 - x = 90 - 78.75° = 11.25°

and supplement of x = 180 - 78.75  = 101 .25°

we can recheck our solution by multiplying complement by 9 , that is 11.25 × 9 = 101.25 which is same as supplement. Hence our solution is correct.

So we can conclude that measure of required angle = 78.75° , measure of  complementary angle  = 11.25° and measure of supplementary angle = 101.25°

If the 1500-lblb boom ABAB, the 220-lblb cage BCDBCD, and the 169-lblb man have centers of gravity located at points G1G1, G2G2
ANEK [815]

Answer:

 (M)_a = -8171 lb-ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

- We will first mark each weight from left most to right most.

               Point:                      Weight:                             Moment arm r_a

               G_3                          W_g3 = 169                     30*Cos(75) + 4.25

               G_2                          W_g2 = 220                    30*Cos(75) + 2.5

               G_1                           W_g1 = 1500                    10*cos(75)

Step 2:

- Set up a sum of moments about pivot point A, the expression would be as follows:

(M)_a = -W_g3*(30cos(75) + 4.25) - W_g2*(30*Cos(75) + 2.5) - W_g1*10*cos(75)

Step 3:

- Plug in the values and solve for (M)_b, as follows:

    (M)_a = -169*(30cos(75) + 4.25) - 220*(30*Cos(75) + 2.5) - 1500*10*cos(75)

    (M)_a = -2030.462559 -2258.205698 - 3882.285677

    (M)_a = -8171 lb-ft

Please Help<br> Find the circumferences of of both circles to the nearest hundredth.
torisob [31]

Step-by-step explanation:

small circle

C= pi D

C = 3.1415(9)

C= 28.3 ft

large circle

C= 2(3.1415)(7)

C = 44 ft

Add 28.3 + 44 = 72.3 ft

In the triangle ABC, the height AN = 24 in, BN = 18 in, AC = 40 in. Find AB and BC.
Basile [38]

Step-by-step Answer:

AN is height, so A is perpendicular to BC.  (See image attached).

BN = 18

AN = 24

AC = 40

All as labeled.

ABN is a right triangle, with AB = sqrt(18^2+24^2)=sqrt(324+576)=30

ACN is a right triangle, with CN = sqrt(40^2-24^2)=sqrt(1600-576) = 32

=>

BC = BN + NC = 18 + 32 = 50

Ques 8:

The Volume(V) in cubic feet of an aquarium id modeled by the polynomial function V(x)= x^{3}+2x^{2}-13x+10

a) We have to explain that why x =4 is not a possible rational zero.

By Factor theorem, which states that a polynomial f(x) has a factor (x - k) if and only if f(k)=0.

For this , we will substitute the value of x in the given function.

V(x)=x^{3}+2x^{2}-13x+10

V(4)=4^{3}+2(4)^{2}-13(4)+10

V(4)=4^{3}+2(4)^{2}-13(4)+10

V(4)=54 which is not equal to zero.

Therefore, x=4 is not a possible rational zero.

(b) To show that (x-1) is a factor of V(x).

By Factor theorem, which states that a polynomial f(x) has a factor (x - k) if and only if f(k)=0.

Let (x-1)=0

So, x=1.

Substituting x=1 in the given function.

V(1)=1^{3}+2(1)^{2}-13(1)+10

V(1)= -10+10

V(1) = 0

Therefore, (x-1) is a factor of V(x).

Now we will factorize the given function.

Dividing the given function by (x-1).

On dividing, we get quotient as x^{2}+3x-10

So, factored form is = (x-1)(x^{2}+3x-10)

= (x-1)(x^{2}+5x-2x-10)

= (x-1)(x(x+5)-2(x+5))

=(x-1)(x+5)(x-2)

(c) So, the dimensions are 1,2 and -5.
