er case costs $145, labor to repair it costs $77, and shipping it to and from a repair center costs $41. A full warranty, which covers the entire cost of repairing the computer, is 35% of the purchase price. A limited warranty, which only covers internal parts and labor, costs 11% of the purchase price. Answer:

Deal 2

Step-by-step explanation:

A complete desktop computer costs $965.

A replacement monitor costs $238

A replacement hard drive costs $260

A replacement outer case costs $145

Labor costs $77

Shipping costs $41

Now we are supposed to find . If the computer tower is damaged, requiring a new hard drive, new case, labor, and shipping, which warranty will be the better deal, and by how much?

So, Deal 1 :  A full warranty, which covers the entire cost of repairing the computer, is 35% of the purchase price.

So, 35 % of purchasing cost = 35 % of 965 = \frac{35}{100} \times 965=337.75

So, cost according to deal 1 = 965+337.5= 1302.75

Deal 2: A limited warranty, which only covers internal parts and labor, costs 11% of the purchase price.

Since the internal part is hard drive

S.o, 11 % of cost of hard drive = 11% of 260 = \frac{1}{100} \times 260=28.6

So, cost according to deal 2 = 28.6+260+145+77+41=551.6

Hence deal 2 is appropriate.

Use the distance formula to find the distance, to the nearest tenth, from S(7, −1) to V(−1, 3).
34kurt

Answer:  8.9 units (choice C)

Explanation:

We plug (x_1,y_1) = (7,-1) \text{ and } (x_2,y_2) = (-1,3)\\\\ into the distance formula to get the following

d = \sqrt{(x_1 - x_2)^2 + (y_1 - y_2)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{(7-(-1))^2 + (-1-3)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{(7+1)^2 + (-1-3)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{(8)^2 + (-4)^2}\\\\d = \sqrt{64 + 16}\\\\d = \sqrt{80}\\\\d \approx 8.94427\\\\d \approx 8.9\\\\

A library is open til' 5:00 P.M. On Wednesdays, the library closes 2 hours early. How many hours for a month is the library open
svet-max [94.6K]
So
if you assume that the month has 30 days and that the library opens at midnight, then
24 hours in a day
5 pm=12+5=17 hours
on wednessday=17-2=15 hours
wednessday=1/7 of week
so we find 1/7 of 30 which is 30/7=4 and 2/7
then subtract that from 30
30-4 and 2/7=25 and 5/7

ok so then we have
25 and 5/7 days is 17 hours and
4 and 2/7 days is 15 hours
so just multipy them and add

25 and 5/7 times 17=437.143 hours
4 and 2/7 days times 15 =64.2857
add

437.143+64.2856=501.429
so aprox 501.429

the real equation is  [(\frac{1}{7})(n)(15)]+[ (\frac{6}{7}) (n)(17)]=hours where n represents the number of days in the month

apros 501.429
