12p+3=99 can be used to find the price p of each jersey.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Number of jerseys ordered = 12

Price of each jersey = p

Shipping cost of jerseys = $3

Total cost of order = $99

According to given statement;

Total cost = Number of jerseys * cost of each jersey + Shipping cost

99 = 12p+3

12p+3=99 Eqn 1

12p+3=99 can be used to find the price p of each jersey.

Sally is having a problem with her puppy leaving the yard so she decides to build a new fence. the length of the yard is 10 feet
Anna35 [415]
Let x be the yard length, then if the length of the yard is 10 feet more than 2 times the width, the length of the yard is 2x+10. The perimeter is 2 lengths + 2 widths, so P=2x+2(2x+10) .

Since Sally needs 56 feet of fencing to do the job, P=56 ft. and

2x+2(2x+10)=56,

2x+4x+20=56,

6x=56-20,

6x=36,

x=6 ft. and 2x+10=12+10=22 ft.

Answer: The length of the yard is 22 feet

Place values for 249.673
irakobra [83]
Hi!

This question is worded a little funny, but i think in understand what it's asking. Forgive me if i'm wrong.

Place values in math are pretty self-explanatory. It's just asking you what place each number is in.

For example:

If you were to write the number 12, the 1 would be in the tens place and the 2 would be in the ones place.

When speaking about decimals, you pretty much just have to add the letters 'th' to the end of the place value, but instead of decreasing as the numbers grow smaller, you increase and the ones place doesn't exist.

So in this case:

With 249.637, 2 is in the hundreds place. 4 is in the tens place. 9 is in the ones place. 6 is in the tenths place. 7 is in the hundreths place. 3 is in the thousandths place.

Hope this helps :)
