The relationship between the pressure and volume of a fixed amount of gas at a constant temperature is described with the Boyle's Law:

<span>"For a fixed mass of gas, at a constant temperature, the product (pressure x volume) is a constant."

</span>

<span>Pressure x Volume = constant

According to this, the absolute pressure and volume of a given mass of confined gas are inversely proportional, provided the temperature remains unchanged within a closed system. So, if the pressure is increased than the volume will be decreased.</span>

Lesechka [4]

Answer:

d

Explanation:

a and b: it vibrates in both the difference is whether you hear the sound or not the lack or presence of molecules does not hinder the timing fork from vibrating but can hinder you from hearing since sound is a mechanical wave therefore require a medium bringing us to (c) these vibrations are transmitted because there is presence of a medium i.e air molecules so sound can be heard

but in (c) it is true since the vibrations are created but are not transmitted to your ears due to lack of a medium

natka813 [3]

Answer: C. The case on the inclined surface had the least decrease intotal mechanical energy.

Explanation:

First and foremost, it should be noted that the mechanical energy is the addition of the potential and the kinetic energy.

From the information given, it should be known that when the block is projected with the same speed v up an incline where is slides to a stop due to friction, the box will lose its kinetic energy but there'll be na increase in the potential energy as a result of the veritcal height. This then brings about an increase in the mechanical energy.

Therefore, the total mechanical energy of the block will decrease the least when the case on the inclined surface had the least decrease intotal mechanical energy.

When using science to investigate physical phenomena, which characteristic of the event must exist?
Vesna [10]

The correct answer is B. Measurable

Explanation:

The use of science to investigate a phenomenon implies using measurements and observations to better understand a phenomenon or test a hypothesis. Moreover, science focuses on natural phenomena that can be objectively studied through measurement instruments such as a thermometer, balance, hydrometer, etc.

In this context, for a phenomenon to be studied by science this needs to be measurable because the use of precise instruments as wells as numbers allow scientist to analyze and understand a phenomenon. Moreover, phenomena that depend on personal perspectives and cannot be measure is considered as non-scientific.
