Let

x--------> the number of children

y------> the number of teenagers

z------> the number of adults

we know that

2x+3y+5z=1,950 ------> equation A

x+y+z=570 -----> equation B

y=\frac{3}{4}x

x=\frac{4}{3}y -------> equation C

Substitute equation C in equation A and equation B

2[\frac{4}{3}y]+3y+5z=1,950

\frac{17}{3}y+5z=1,950 --------> equation D

[\frac{4}{3}y]+y+z=570

\frac{7}{3}y+z=570 --------> equation E

Multiply equation E by -5

-\frac{35}{3}y-5z=-2,850 --------> equation F

Adds equation D and equation F

\frac{17}{3}y+5z=1,950\\\\-\frac{35}{3}y-5z=-2,850\\\\---------\\\\-\frac{18}{3}y=-900\\\\y=3*900/18\\\\y=150\ teenagers

therefore

<u>the answer is the option</u>

150\ teenagers

The circumference should be 37.68 because area= pi *r^2. So if area=pi*36, then the radius must be 6 which makes the diameter 12 and circumference=pi*diameter and 3.14*12= 37.68. So circumference of the circle is 37.68!

Complete the point-slope equation of the line through (2,3) and (7,4) <br> y-4=
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

y - 4 = \frac{1}{5}(x - 7)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Calculate m using the slope formula

m = (y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (2, 3) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (7, 4)

m = \frac{4-3}{7-2} = \frac{1}{5}

Use either of the 2 points for (a, b)

Using (7, 4), then

y - 4 = \frac{1}{5}(x - 7) ← in point- slope form
