Let L = the length, and W = the width.

L = 2W ......(1)

(L+2)(W+2) - LW = 100 => 2W+2L+4 = 100 ......(2)

Plug (1) into (2), and solve for L,

3L = 96

L = 32 feet

W = L/2 = 16 feet

Answer: The length of the pool is 32 feet, and the width is 16 feet.

X equals 31.  so the width is 62 feet.  the length is then 66 feet

to find this, write out all your terms (2x,2x,+4) into an equation (2x+2x+4=128) from there, simplify and solve.

4x+4=128
-4        -4
4x=124
---   -----   <--- division
4       4
x=31

then you multiply 31 by 2 to get the width and add 4 to get the length

Lena reflected this figure across the x-axis. She writes the vertices of the image as A'(−2, 8), B'(−5, 6), C'(−8, 8), D'(−4, 2)
garik1379 [7]

Answer:

Option A) she reflected the pre-image across the y-axis

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

When reflect a point across the the x-axis the rule of the reflection is equal to

(x,y) -----> (x,-y)

When reflect a point across the the y-axis the rule of the reflection is equal to

(x,y) -----> (-x,y)

In this problem we have

A(2,8),B(5,6),C(8,8),D(4,2)

Applying the rule of the reflection across the x-axis

The coordinates of the image would be

A'(2,-8),B'(5,-6),C'(8,-8),D'(4,-2)

Applying the rule of the reflection across the y-axis

The coordinates of the image would be

A'(-2,8),B'(-5,6),C'(-8,8),D'(-4,2)

therefore

she reflected the pre-image across the y-axis.

In the following Earliest Start Time (EST) graph, assume each unit of time is an hour.
Stels [109]

8

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Critical Path Analysis is presented using the circle and arrow diagrams.
  • Earliest Start Time = the earliest possible time of  starting the activity
  • An arrow running between two event circles shows the activity needed to complete that task.
  • All arrows run left to right
  • Time for doing just task E = 8 hours (as shown in the figure)
