Answer:

Hand sanitizer=135 bottles

Bar soap=83 bottles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the hand sanitizer and y the sop.

-Our problem can be expressed as:

x+y=218\ \ \ \ \  ...i\\\\4.25x+2.15y=752.20\ \ \ \ \  ...ii

#Make x the subject in i then substitute in ii to solve;

x=218-y\\\\\therefore 4.25(218-y)+2.15y=752.20\\\\926.5-4.25y+2.15y=752.20\\\\174.3=2.1y\\\\y=83\\\\x=218-83=135

Hence, 135 bottles of hand sanitizer and 83 bottles of bar soap were sold.

Which value of a in the exponential function below would cause the function to shrink? f(x) = a(three-halves) Superscript x Four
Natalka [10]

Answer:

Four-fifths

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that

By multiplying the function by a constant, we may expand or shrink the function in the y-direction.

Now we have

y=a(b^{x})

if a> 1  > the function would enlarge

if 0< a < 1 > the function would shrinks

Now

For case A

a = \frac{4}{5}

0 < (\frac{4}{5} )< 1 ....... > the function would shrinks

For case B

a = \frac{5}{4}

(\frac{5}{4} )>1 .......> the function would enlarge

For case C

a = \frac{3}{2}

(\frac{3}{2} )>1 .........> the function would enlarge

For case D

a = \frac{7}{4}

(\frac{7}{4} )>1 .........> the function would enlarge

Therefore the second option is correct

What is the inverse and domain of f(x)=x^2+4
Allushta [10]
The domain of the inverse of a function is the range of the original function

so find the range of f(x)
this is lowest to highest
we got the vertex is at (0,4)
and it goes to infinity
so range is from 4 to infinity

inverse
replace f(x) with y
switch x and y
solve for y
replace y with finverse

f(x)=x^2+4
y=x^2+4
x=y^2+4
x-4=y^2
y=√(x-4)
f⁻¹(x)=√(x-4)

inverse is f⁻¹(x)=√(x-4)
the domain is x≥4

Hello, I am BrotherEye

Answer:

If the radius of a Circle is tripled, then its diameter is also tripled, and subsequently, its circumference is also tripled. Pi remains a constant.If the diameter is doubled (say the original length was 2, now the length is 4), the circumference will also double (the original circumference is 2π , now the circumference is 4π )
