Answer:

P(not choose a blue marble) = 28/45 = 0.622

Step-by-step explanation:

The probability that an event of a total of possible probable cases will occur is equal to the ratio between the number of occurrences of said event (favorable cases) and the total number of possible cases. It is given by the equation:

P(A) = number of favorable outcomes/total number of outcomes

The bags contain 12 red marbles, 11 green marbles, 17 blue marbles and 5 yellow marbles. So, the total number of marbles is:

Total number of marbles = 12 + 11 + 17 + 5 = 45 (This is the total number of outcomes)

For this case, we want to know the probability that you won't choose a blue marble. So, we have to subtract the number of blue marbles from the total number of marbles:

Total number of marbles - number of blue marbels = 45 - 17 = 28 (number of favorables outcome)

The probability that you won't choose a blue marble is:

P(not choose a blue marble) = 28/45 = 0.622 or 62.2%

Hello! The answer to your question woulds be as followed:

We have to find how many marbles are in total first

12 + 11 + 17 + 5

= 45

Since we want to find the probability that you will NOT choose a blue marble, we have to find how many aren't blue

12 + 11 + 5

= 28

We have a probability out of 48 now, therefore

28/48 would be our fraction,

To simplify:

7/12 or about 58.33%

Between emma and dave, we have 7/10ths of the money

3x + 2x = 7/10

5x = 7/10

x=(7/10)/5

x= 14/100

Dave will get 28/100 or 7/25ths

Check : 30/100      Colin
            42/100      Emma
         + 28/100     Dave

On Gavin's math test, 3/8 of the questions are division problems. Of the division problems, 4/9 of the problems he got incorrect
deff fn [24]
Something is strange in the wording of the question. "Of the division problems, 4/9 of the problems he got incorrect. What fraction of the division problems did Gavin get incorrect?" :) Well 4/9 of course. One statement answers another. Maybe they wanted the fraction of those wrong answers were in relation to the entire test???

\frac {3}{8} * \frac {4}{9} = \frac {12}{72} = \frac {1}{6}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

23 /8

The scale factor is the number you multiply each side of the object to get each side of the image. Let's call the scale factor x.

8x=23

x=23/8

The scale factor is 23/8

Hello Guys, I really need help with these questions. Here they are.
valentina_108 [34]

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok, so first...

a) if x is positive, it will remain x, so *x<7*

b) if x+3 is positive, it will be x+3<9 but you have to simplify it so you subtract 3 on both sides and get *x<6*

c) if y-8 is positive, it will stay like that, and you then add 8 on both sides to get *y>19*

g) if 3x-1 is positive, it will be 3x-1 greater than or equal to 18. add 1 on both sides and *3x > or = to 18*

4y+3 < or = 13. subtract 3 on both sides and you get *4y < or = 13*

One more thing:

Less than or equal to is a '<' with a line underneath.

Greater than or equal to is a '>' with a line underneath.
