All cells in the body have the same genetic material, e.g. they have same DNA. However, not all genes are active at the same time and in all cells. Thus, different genes are transcribed in different specialised cells. There are transcription factors that control which genes will be transcribed and which will be suppressed. Also, specialised cells in an embryo release signalling proteins that help in cell differentiation.

The triangular-shaped body of water that forms where a streams enters a larger body of water is a/an
FromTheMoon [43]
The correct answer is B. Delta, Deltas can only be formed when sediments are being carried by the waterway (stream, river). As the water flows and meets another body of water, sediments land and piles up making beds. As the water flows through shallow areas, it forms triangular shaped areas of water where the stream meets a larger area of water.

Explain what is happening to air mass from the sea as it moves up the side of the mountain and down the other side.
BabaBlast [244]

Answer:

The orographic effect creates cooler air moving up the windward side of mountains and warmer air moving down the leeward side. Often, as the leeward air plunges down the slope, it warms quite dramatically and rapidly. Such rapid warming and drying of air can produce very high winds known as Chinook or Foehn winds.

Mashcka [7]

Answer:

monoallelic gene expression

Explanation:

Monoallelic expression is a type of gene expression where only a copy out of the two copies of a gene is expressed and the other is silent.

A gene is usually represented by two alleles representing alternate forms of the same character. Individuals inherit an allele each from their two parents for every gene within their genomes.

When only one of the alleles is expressed for a particular gene while the other allele remains silent, such phenomenon is referred to as monoallelic gene expression.
