Answer:

I'm not quit sure about this but I'm sure its hemophilia. Yes I'm a middles schooler who is answering a high schooler's question but in my biology class i do high school things here and there.

Explanation:

I'm sure it is hemophilia because 1. a father only passes one of his sex chromosomes which is either x or y (X for girl and Y for boy). 2. the new born can get, from the mother, either an x chromosome with the hemophilia or the other x with the normal blood clotting gene. I hope this helps and if not I am sorry

How are the bryophytes and seedless vascular plants alike? Group of answer choices Plants in both groups have vascular tissue. I
dangina [55]

Answer:

In both groups, sperm swim from antheridia to archegonia

Explanation:

Bryophytes are the plant group that does not have a vascular system. These plants do not produce seeds. Ferns and horsetails are seedless vascular plants. These plants have vascular tissues (xylem and phloem) to serve in the conduction of water, minerals, and sugars from the one plant part to the other. But these plants do not produce seeds and hence, are seedless vascular plants.

Both bryophytes and the seedless vascular plants depend on water for fertilization. These plants release their male gametes in water which in turn move towards the female gamete. Sperms, the male gametes of these plants swim in the water to reach the female gamete.

Antheridium is the male gametangium that serves as a site for the production of male gametes while archegonia are the female gametangia where the egg cell is produced.

Which substance(s) crossed the dialysis membrane? support your response with data-based evidence?
yKpoI14uk [10]
a dialyzing membrane: is a membrane that retains macromolecules (like proteins, lipids) but passes some solute (small molecules) such as ions, glucose, and urea.

This phenomenon is used in medicine (specifically nephrology) in hemodialysis: The dialyzing membrane An exchange module between the internal medium (blood) and the external environment (hemodialyzer), and an electrolytic solution for exchange. The dialysis session is provided by a dialysis machine. It saved patient with chronic renal failure who cannot do renal transplantation by eliminating substances that his body cannot do anymore, like the excess of the urea and ions like sodium, potassium, and chloride.

In excreted urine, a reliable "marker" that a pregnancy has initiated is ________.
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

In excreted urine, a reliable "marker" that a pregnancy has initiated is human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).

What is human chorionic gonadotropin?

 • The trophoblast cells that surround a developing embryo.
 • Eventually give rise to the placenta after implantation generate the hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin, which helps women recognize pregnancy.
 • Some pregnancy tests can detect the HCG's presence.
 • The placenta secretes a hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin throughout pregnancy (HCG).
 • It tells the body to stop menstruation and makes the uterine lining thicker to support an embryo in development.
 • After fertilization, HCG levels increase and stay elevated for another 10 weeks or more of pregnancy.
 • As accurate as blood tests are urine testing.
 • An individual is pregnant if their HCG level is high.
 • An individual is not pregnant if a qualitative HCG test is negative.
 • After a few days, a person should repeat the test if they still believe they are pregnant.
