Explanation:

As atomic number of hydrogen is 1. So, it needs to gain one electron from a donor atom in order to become stable in nature.

Therefore, when a hydrogen bond is formed with a non-hydrogen atom then there must be presence of a non-bonding electron.

For example, atomic number of nitrogen atom is 7 and its electronic distribution is 2, 5.

Here, three electrons are needed by a nitrogen atom. And, when three nitrogen atoms get attached to a nitrogen atom then a NH_{3} compound is formed.

Thus, we can conclude that to form a hydrogen bond, the non-hydrogen atom ( N , O , or F ) involved in the bond must possess a non-bonding electron pair.

(1) In an experiment for determining the density of water, the following results
Angelina_Jolie [31]

Given parameters:

mass of an empty beaker = 65gm

mass of the beaker and water = 165gm

volume of water = 100cm³

Unknown:

Density of water  = ?

Solution:

Density is the mass per unit volume of a substance;

           Density  = \frac{mass}{volume}

To find the mass of the water ;

   Mass of water  = Mass of beaker and water - mass of an empty beaker

                            = 165g - 65g

                           = 100g

So input parameters and solve;

         Density  =  \frac{100g}{100cm^{3} }

         Density of the water in the beaker  = 1g/cm³

If you produced 76.10 grams of potassium chloride in the reaction how many grams of potassium were required?
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:39.8375

Explanation:

The mole for the equation is 1:1

Then the molar mass of KCl is 74.5g

Molar mass of k is 39

74.5g of KCl gives 39g of k

76.10g of KCl gives xg of k

X= 76.10×39/74.5

X= 2967.9/7

X= 39.8375
