In this problem why is the easiest to substitute.
Just set the equations equal to each other because they both equal y

-x + 4 = 2x - 8
(You want to get all the x's to one side so add x to each side)
4 = 3x - 8
(next add 8 to both sides)
12 = 3x
(lastly divide 3 from both sides)
4 = x
You have got your x so now it is time to find that y just replace x to either of the two equations
y = 2(4) -8   or  y = -(4) + 4
y = 8 - 8          y = 0
y = 0
Final Answer:  y=0, x=4

Nathan has 102 solid-colored disks that are red.
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

blue = 35

green = 29

red = 38

Step-by-step explanation:

Let r = red

Let g = green

let b = blue

r + g + b = 102

r = b + 3

b = g + 6    Subtract 6 from both sides of the equation

b - 6 = g

===================

substitute for red and green

(b + 3) + b + b - 6 = 102

b + 3 + b + b - 6 = 102

Combine like terms

3b - 3 = 102

Add 3 to both sides

3b - 3 + 3 = 102 + 3

3b = 105

Divide by 3

3b/3 = 105/3

b = 35

======================

r = b + 3

r = 35 + 3

r = 38

=======================

g = b - 6

g = 35 - 6

g = 29

========================

It is 8

As a result of multiply 1.6 times 6, we would also need to apply it to the side as well, and therefore multiply it.

Plz help! will mar brainliest.

Answer:

From -2<x<-1, the function F(X) is increasing. (B)

Really, it increases all from around -2.5<x<0.5

C is also the second answer, as it increases til around 2.5

It is decreasing from -4<x<-3. But increases right after. It then starts to slow down around x = 1 and go down again.

Which means (B) is your answer.

If you want to get fancy, its a polynomial and if you take the derivative for instantaneous rate, you will see f prime is increasing if you make an example function.

I am soooo confuseddd what the heckkk Ok so Im doing something called 'Graphing Systems of Linear Equations' , well you might sa
horsena [70]
Okay, so the equation for the y-intercept is y=mx+b, this will be your base for graphing anything.

For y = x + 3 it's basically y = 1x + 3. Use b as the y-intercept, or 3, and plot it as (x,y), (0,3). Then use m as the slope, or 1. 1 means positive one so the point goes (0,3), (1, 4), (2, 5).

For y = -3x - 1 it's the same thing but different numbers. Use b, the y-intercept, and plot it. -1 is b, so plot (0,-1). Then use the slope to go up or down the direction you need to go, or m. m is -3, so for every +1 in x, the y will decrease by 3. (0,-1), (0,-4), (0,-7).

I hope this helped in some way or increased your understanding!
