Addign trinomials (2x+4xy+8z)+(8x+5xy+23z) all you have to do is combine the like terms 2x and 8x= 10x, 4xy+5xy=9xy, and 8z+23z=31z. so the simplified answer to adding the trinomials would be 10x+9xy+31z.

Subtacting trinomials (4x+9y+3) - (-1+3x-2y) .
When doing subtracting you still combine like terms but this time you change the sign before every term. If that is confusing, just pretend there is a negative 1 infront of parenthases and multiply that before you subtracts the two trinomials. so...
4x - 3x= x, 9y+2y=11y and 3+1=4. so simplified answer of the subtraction would be x+11y+4

I hope this helped :) Good luck !

Freddie is at chess practice waiting on his opponent's next move. He notices that the 4-inch-long minute hand is rotating around
Alex777 [14]
One complete revolution of the minute hand sweeps a central angle of 360° which is equivalent to 60 minutes.
That is, the minute hand creates
(360°/(60 min) = 6 degrees/min.

From 3:35 to 3:55 is 20 minutes.
It sweeps a central angle of
(20 min)*(6 deg/min) = 120°

Because 360° = 2π radians,
120° = (120/360)*2π = (2π)/3 radians

Answer:
\frac{2 \pi }{3} \,radians
In decimals, this is 2.1 radians (nearest tenth)

Part 2:
Because the minute hand is 4 inches long, the length of the arc swept is
(4 in)*(2π/3 radians) = 8π/3 inches

Answer:
\frac{8 \pi }{3} \,inches
In decimals, this is 8.4 inches (nearest tenth).

Find an equation for the line that passes through the points (-6,-3) and (2,-1)
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

y = 1/4x - 1 1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

(-6, -3) (2,-1)

y = -3 - (-1) = -2 = 1

x = -6 - 2 = -8 = 4

y = mx + b

-1 = 1/4(2) + b

-1 = 1/2 + b

-1/2 -1/2

-1 1/2 = b

y = 1/4x - 1 1/2

The final equation is y equals one fourth x minus one and one half.

Using the Fundamental Counting Theorem, there are 400 ways to see a movie, have a drink and choose a type of candy.

What is the Fundamental Counting Theorem?

It is a theorem that states that if there are n things, each with n_1, n_2, \cdots, n_n ways to be done, each thing independent of the other, the number of ways they can be done is:

N = n_1 \times n_2 \times \cdots \times n_n

Considering the number of movies, drinks and candies, the parameters are given as follows:

n_1 = 10, n_2 = 5, n_3 = 8

Hence the number of ways is given by:

N = 10 x 5 x 8 = 400.

There are 400 ways to see a movie, have a drink and choose a type of candy.
