When you go one month to the right in the picture, the height increases by 2, so the growth per month is 2 inches.

The starting height is 6 inch (at x=0), so a formula for f(x) = 2x + 6

f(10) = 2*10+6 = 26

Answer C is the correct one.

What is the answer a or b to this question
galina1969 [7]
The answer would be A.

Explanation:

If they enter with one car, that’s a price of $3 for the car alone. Because there’s also a fee for each person who enters, and there is a family of 5 who enters, x is representative of the cost for each person who enters. Therefore, there would be 5 x’s and one 3 that when solved would add up to the total of $45 they spent. That would mean A is correct because the equation would be x + x + x + x + x + 3 = 45.

Solve the system of equations.
y=7x
y=2x + 20

x=?
y=?
alekssr [168]
X=4, y=28. 7x=2x+20, so subtract 2x from both sides and you’ll get 5x=20. Divide both sides by 5 and you’ll get x=4. Substitute this into the other equations and they will both equal 28.
