A type of marble has a density of 2.5 grams/marble. A box filled with marbles has a total mass of 300 grams determine the number
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

100

Explanation:

Step 1: Subtract 50 by 300 to find the total mass of the marbles

300 - 50 = 250

Not hard, right?

Step 2: Divide 250 by 2.5

250 ÷ 2.5 = 100

And... 100 is your answer :)

Hope this helps :)

Express the diameter of a ground-state hydrogen atom in meters using a power of 10.
REY [17]
<span>Throughout the development of particle physics, scientists have created different models to understand the atom. When we are talking about the diameter of an atom, we would refer to the Bohr radius, which is the radius from the nucleus to the orbiting electron. In this case, a hydrogen atom has one electron, and the Bohr radius in the ground state is 5.29 x 10^{-11} meters. To find the diameter, we just multiply the Bohr radius by 2. diameter = 2 x 5.29 x 10^{-11} meters diameter = 10.58 x 10^{-11} meters diameter = 1.058 x 10^{-10} meters The diameter of a hydrogen atom in ground state is: 1.058 x 10^{-10} meters</span>

URGENT! A solution that contains less solute than it can possibly hold at a given temperature.
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

Diluted solution

Explanation:

It is simple in terms of looking in to it, solute is the solid part of the solution and if a small quantity is dissolved in a solvent which can hold more then the solute added will make the solution diluted and for more info- other answers depict that there is more solute in the solution therefore others can not be the answer

How many moles of fe2o3 will be produced from 18.0 g of fe assuming o2 is available in excess
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

0.161 moles

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of Fe  = 18g

Unknown:

Number of moles of Fe₂O₃  = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, we have to work from the known to the unknown specie.

One cogent point we need to take from this problem is that oxygen gas is in excess. The Fe reacting is therefore the limiting reactant which implies that it will determine the extent of the reaction.

Now, the known specie is Fe;

  The balanced reaction equation is shown below;

                  4Fe    +   3O₂      →    2Fe₂O₃

Proceed to find the number of moles of Fe given;

        Number of moles of Fe = \frac{mass}{molar mass}

                  Molar mass of Fe  = 56g/mol

        Number of moles of Fe  = \frac{18}{56}   =  0.32mole

From the balanced reaction equation;

            4 moles of Fe produced 2 moles of Fe₂O₃

          0.32 moles of Fe will produce \frac{0.32 x 2}{4}    = 0.161 moles of  Fe₂O₃
