The correct answer for above statement is:

d NF3

(+)NaCl(-) = 0 is linear and the charges cancel so its no polar

(+3)AlF3(-3) = 0 the charges cancel so its non polar

Br2 is a diatomic element and elements don't have charges so its non polar

NF3 the N has a lone pair of electrons (:) and so it will repel the fluorine's as fluorine is the most electronegative element there is an unbalance in the charges so NF3 is polar .

Explanation:

In a polar covalent attachment, the particles shared by the atoms absorb a larger amount of time, on the center, closer to the Oxygen nucleus than the Hydrogen nucleus. This is because of the geometry of the molecule and the numerous electronegativity difference between the Hydrogen atom and the Oxygen atom.

Id guess its NF3 as...

(+)NaCl(-) = 0 is linear and the charges cancel so its no polar

(+3)AlF3(-3) = 0 the charges cancel so its non polar

Br2 is a diatomic element and elements don't have charges so its non polar

NF3 the N has a lone pair of electrons (:) and so it will repel the fluorine's as fluorine is the most electronegative element there is an unbalance in the charges so NF3 is polar

hope that helps

Before using any chemical in the lab, Way should One first read the material safety data sheet?
Talja [164]
You read the SDS so you know what the hazards are working with the chemicals in the experiment and what precautionary measures should be taken. You wouldn't want to spill sensitizer or corrosive chemicals all over your hands or breath in carcinogens or chemicals that effect the central nervous system. The SDS will tell you what personal protective equipment you should use like the type of gloves, or whether or not you should work in a fume hood.

What is the molar mass of CHCl3?
48.47 g/mol
83.92 g/mol
119.37 g/mol
121.39 g/mol
kolbaska11 [484]

119.37 g/mol

Further explanation

Relative atomic mass (Ar) and relative molecular mass / molar mass (M)

the molar mass/molecular mass of a compound : the sum of the relative atomic mass (Ar) of the constituent atoms

M AxBy = (x.Ar A + y. Ar B)

Atomic weight (Ar) of :

 • C : 12.0107 g/mol
 • H : 1.00784 g/mol
 • Cl : 35.453 g/mol

The molar mass of CHCl₃

\tt CHCl_3=12.0107+1,00784+(35,453\times 3)=119.37~g/mol
