Mathematics

Answer:

Area ∝ Length.

Step-by-step explanation:

If the length of a rectangle is L and width is W, then the area of the rectangle is given by A = LW.

Now, it is given that the width of a rectangle is constant and it is 6 cm.

Therefore, the relation between the length of the rectangle in cm with the area of the rectangle in cm² will be A = 6L.

So, it is clear from the above relation that Area (A) is proportional with its length (L) and the constant of proportionality is 6. (Answer)

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

You first multiply the a with bx and c then after the answer when you multiply you "add" with it would be something like

ex: 6x+4=28

         - 4  -4     subtract both sides

------------------------

        6x=24      then divide 6 with 24.

         x= 3

A leading bank is coming up with an investment that pays 8 percent interest compounded semiannually. What is the investment's ef
uranmaximum [27]
The effective rate is calculated in the following way:
r =  {(1 +  \frac{i}{n} )}^{n} - 1
where r is the effective annual rate, i the interest rate, and n the number of compounding periods per year (for example, 12 for monthly compounding).
our compounding period is 2 since the bank pays us semiannually(two times per year) and our interest rate is 8%
so lets plug in numbers:
r = {(1 +  \frac{8\%}{2}) }^{2}  - 1 \\ r =  {(1 +  \frac{1}{25}) }^{2}  - 1 \\ r =  \frac{676}{625}  - 1 \\ r = 0.0816 \: or \: 8.16\%

Find all values of x for which the series converges. (enter your answer using interval notation. ) [infinity] (4x)n n = 1
andreyandreev [35.5K]

The series converges to  1/(1-9x) for -1/9<x<1/9

Given the series is  ∑ 9x^{n} x^{n}

We have to find the values of x for which the series converges.

We know,

∑ ar^{n-1}    converges to  (a) / (1-r) if r < 1

Otherwise the series will diverge.

Here, ∑ (9x)^{n} is a geometric series with |r| = | 9x |

And it converges for |9x| < 1

Hence, the given series gets converge for -1/9<x<1/9

And geometric series converges to a/(1-r)

Here, a = 1 and r = 9x

Therefore, a/(1-r) = 1/(1-9x)

Hence, the given series converges to   1/1-9x  for  -1/9<x<1/9
