How does the buoyant force affect a submerged object

Physics

NeX [460]2 years ago

Answer:

The buoyant force is the pressure of the object being forced upward.

Weight of the object affects the buoyant force of the submerged object; as weight is added to the object, it will cause the object to sink. The more weight...the more it will sink.

If the weight is less than the buoyant force, it will cause the object to go up.

If the weight is the same as the buoyant force, the object will stay in the same position.

Two objects separated by a distance r are each carrying a charge q The magnitude of the force exerted on the second object by th
Sindrei [870]

Answer:F=4F

Explanation: Columbs law states that The force between the two point charges is directly proportional to the product of charges and inversely proportional to the square of distance between them

Force between the two charges is given by

F=K*q1*q2/r^2

if one charge become 4 times, new force is,

F=4(K*q1*q2)/r^2

F=4F

Where q1 and q2 are the point charges

r is the distance between the two charges

K is a constant of proportion called electrostatic force

a concrete slab 20 m long and weighing 400,000 N is supported by one pillar. If a 19,600 N car is parked 8 meters from one end.
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

let the distance of pillar is "r" from one end of the slab

So here net torque must be balance with respect to pillar to be in balanced state

So here we will have

Mg(r - L/2) = mg(L/2 - 8)

here we know that

mg = 19600 N

Mg = 400,000 N

L = 20 m

from above equation we have

400,000(r - 10) = 19,600 (10 - 8)

r - 10 = 0.098

r = 10.098 m

so pillar is at distance 10.098 m from one end of the slab
