Let x , y be the numbers;
We have the equation: x + y = 36 and x = 3y - 4 ;
Then, 3y - 4 + y = 36;
4y - 4 = 36 ;
4y = 40;
y = 40 ÷ 4;
y = 10 ;
x = 36 - 10 ;
x = 26;

Find mDCAˆ. the question says that the angle is 3x+19 the smaller arc is 91 and the bigger is 17x-3 it is one of those problems
valina [46]

Answer: Option C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let as consider the below figure is attached below.

We know that angle between tangent and secant is half of difference of major and minor arcs.

\angle ABC=\dfrac{arc(AD)-arc(AC)}{2}

3x+19=\dfrac{17x-3-91}{2}

Multiply both sides by 2.

6x+38=17x-94

38+94=17x-6x

132=11x

Divide both sides by 11.

12=x

The value of x is 12.

arc(AD)=17(12)-3

arc(AD)=204-3

arc(AD)=201^{\circ}

Now,

arc(DCA)=360^\circ-arc(AD)

arc(DCA)=360^\circ-201^{\circ}

m\widehat {DCA}=159^{\circ}

Therefore, the correct option is C .

Find the area of the polygon
larisa [96]

Answer:

687.5 \:  {ft}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of polygon = Area of square + Area of triangle

=  {25}^{2}   + \frac{1}{2}  \times 25 \times (30 - 25) \\  \\  = 625 +\frac{1}{2}  \times 25 \times5 \\  \\  = 625 +  \frac{1}{2}  \times 125  \\  \\  = 625 + 62.5 \\  \\  = 687.5 \:  {ft}^{2}

A sphere and a cylinder have the same radius and height. The volume of the cylinder is 27 xft?
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

Volume of sphere =\frac{2}{3}(27\pi) ft^3

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

Radius of sphere=Radius of cylinder=r

Height of sphere=Height of cylinder=h

Height of sphere=h=Diameter of sphere=2r

Volume of cylinder=27\pi ft^3

Volume of cylinder=\pi r^2 h

Using the formula

Volume of cylinder=\pi r^2(2r)=2\pi r^3=27\pi

Volume of sphere=\frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

Using the formula

Volume of sphere=\frac{2}{3}\times 2\pi r^3=\frac{2}{3}(27\pi)

Hence, the volume of sphere =\frac{2}{3}(27\pi) ft^3
