Answer:

0.0658 M

Explanation:

The reaction that takes place is:

Na₂SO₄(aq) + BaCl₂(aq) ↔ BaSO₄(s) + 2NaCl(aq)

First we calculate the number of Na₂SO₄ moles:

 • 0.4000 g sample * 96.4/100 = 0.3856 g Na₂SO₄
 • 0.3856 g Na₂SO₄ ÷ 142.04 g/mol = 2.715x10⁻³ mol Na₂SO₄

Now we convert to moles of BaCl₂:

 • 2.715x10⁻³ mol Na₂SO₄ * 1 molBaCl₂/1 molNa₂SO₄ = 2.715x10⁻³ mol BaCl₂

Finally we divide by the volume to calculate the molarity:

 • 41.25 mL ⇒ 41.25 / 1000 = 0.04125 L
 • 2.715x10⁻³ mol BaCl₂ / 0.04125 L = 0.0658 M

Should the line of best- fit travel through the origin of the graph ? Explain your reasoning
Finger [1]
I would say only if one of your data points is the origin. But your experiment could have started with a non-zero velocity, for instance, which would rule out the origin as one of your data points. Even so, a "best fit" is not meant to be perfect, it is only meant to be the best that you can do with your particular data set.

Explanation:

Chemical change -

It refers to any change in a chemical process , where there is formation of any new substance , is referred to as a chemical change .

The indication of any chemical change is the formation of some new substance.

Hence, from the question,

The process which does not involve chemical change is -

The use of mercury in barometer , to measure pressure , in this process no new substance is formed i.e. , now change in mercury.
