Answer: she bought 13 petunias

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of Petunias pot of flowers that she bought.

Let y represent the number of begonias pot of flowers that she bought.

She bought 22 potted plants. This means that

x + y = 22

Petunias cost $7 per pot and begonias cost $8 per pot. She spent a total of $163. This means that

7x + 8y = 163 - - - - - - - - - - - -1

Substituting x = 22 - y into equation 1, it becomes

7(22 - y) + 8y = 163

154 - 7y + 8y = 163

- 7y + 8y = 163 - 154

y = 9

x = 22 - y = 22 - 9

x = 13

olga55 [171]

Answer:

Systematic sampling

Step-by-step explanation:

An EPA contractor needing to test the concentration of a substance in ten samples out seventy samples provided form a single source at regular time intervals.

For the contractor to effectively carry out the testing he has to employ a Non-probability system of sampling which is called Systematic sampling, because in systematic sampling we can assume the population size (x ) which in this case is 70 and the sample size( n ) to be 10

He will have to select ;  ( x / n )^th of the sampling frame for best results

Answer:

3.6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

We are given that the dimension of the photo is

Height= 15cm

Width= 9cm

That is

            15cm height  will make 9cm width

hence    6cm height will make x widht

cross multiply

9*6= 15*x

54= 15x

x= 54/15

x= 3.6cm

Hence the width will be 3.6cm
