(4x^2-25)/(2x-5)=14
we hates fractions so m ultiply both sides by (2x-5)
4x^2-25=14(2x-5)
4x^2-25=28x-70
add 70 to both sides
4x^2+45=28x
subtract 28x  fromoth sides
4x^2-28x+45=0
use quadratic formula which is
if you have
ax^2+bx+c=0 then
x=\frac{-b+/- \sqrt{b^{2}-4ac} }{2a}

a=4
b=-28
c=45
subsitute
x=\frac{-(-28)+/- \sqrt{(-28)^{2}-4(4)(45)} }{2(4)}

x=\frac{28+/- \sqrt{784-720} }{8}

x=\frac{28+/- 8}{8}

x=\frac{5}{2}
 or \frac{9}{2}

if we were to put 5/2 for x, the deonomentor would be equal to zero, so it cannot be used

answer is
x=9/2

Solve (x – 3)2 = 49. Select the values of x. –46 -4 10 52
sergiy2304 [10]

After using the algebraic equation, the required value of x = 55/2.

WHAT IS ALGEBRIC EQUATION?
A mathematical statement wherein two expressions have been set equal to one another is known as an algebraic equation. A variable, coefficients, and constants make up an algebraic equation in most cases. Equations, or the equal sign, simply indicate equality. Equating each quantity with another is what equations are all about. Equations act as a scale of balance. If you've ever seen a balance scale, users know that for the scale to be deemed "balanced," an equal amount of weight must be applied to each side. The scale will tip to one side if we only add weight to one side, and the two sides will no longer be equally weighted.

(x-3)2 = 49

= x-3 = 49/2

= x = (49/2) + 3

= x = 55/2

So, the required value of x = 55/2.

The equation of the central street PQ is  -1.5x - 3.5y = -31.5 option (b) is correct.

<h3>What is a straight line?</h3>

A straight line is a combination of endless points joined on both sides of the point.

We have a straight line:

-7x+3y=-21.5

Convert it to the general form given below:

\rm y=mx+c

\rm 3y=-21.5+7x\\\\ \rm y = \frac{-21.5}{3}+\frac{7}{3}x or

\rm y = \frac{7}{3}x-\frac{21.5}{3}

m = \frac{7}{3}   (Slope of AB line)

For the slope(m') of the PQ line:

\rm m'=-\frac{1}{m}    ( because AB and PQ are perpendicular to each other)

\rm m' = -\frac{3}{7}

We know the:

\rm (y-y')=m'(x-x')

Where (x', y') = (7, 6), we get:

\rm (y-6)=-\frac{3}{7} (x-7)

\rm 7(y-6)=-3 (x-7)\\\\\rm 7y-42= -3x+21\\\\\rm 7y= -3x+21+42\\\\\rm 3x+7y=63

\rm -1.5x-3.5y=-31.5   (multiply by -1/2 on both sides)

Thus, the equation of the central street PQ is  -1.5x - 3.5y = -31.5

Please do #4 It’s it the one on the bottom
spin [16.1K]

We need to graph this equation:

16x+2y=300

Its solutions are the points through which it graph passes. Since it's a linear equation its graph is a straight line and we only need two of its points to draw it. But before graphing let's re-write the equation. We can substract 16x from both sides:

\begin{gathered} 16x+2y=300 \\ 16x+2y-16x=300-16x \\ 2y=300-16x \end{gathered}

And we divide both sides by 2:

\begin{gathered} \frac{2y}{2}=\frac{300-16x}{2}=\frac{300}{2}-\frac{16x}{2} \\ y=150-8x \end{gathered}

So now with this equation if we pick two random x values we'll get their corresponding y values. This way we'll find two points that are part of the graph which is the line that passes through both. We can begin with x=0:

y=150-8\cdot0=150

So the first point is (0,150). Then we can take x=10 and we get:

y=150-8\cdot10=150-80=70

So the second point is (10,70). Then the graph is the line that passes through points (0,150) and (10,70). In order to represent it
