Okay its really easy. equations, you just flip then around like if you have 2x+16=6x, you would subtract 2x from both sides.
 
16=6x-2x
16=4x
16/4 = x   (divide with 4)
4 = x

how you check is you plug in.

2(4)+16=6(4)
8+16 = 24

There you go!

It all depends on the math question but usually you solve for x, then check it. Plug x back in and see if it works. But it all depends on the math problem
