11.2x+x+(x+8)=180
Combine like terms
3x+(x+8)=180
4x+8=180
180-8=172
4x=172
x=43

12.(x-3)+x+(x+8)+(x-5)=360
Combine like terms
4x-3+8-5=360
-3+8=5
5-5=0
4x=360
x=90

Val needs to find the area enclosed by the figure. The figure is made by attaching semicircles to each side of a 42-m-42-m squar
oee [108]

The area enclosed by the figure is 4533.48 square meters.

Step-by-step explanation:

Side length of the square = 42m

The semicircle is attached to each side of the square. So the diameter of the semicircle is the length of the square.

Radius of the semicircle = 21m

Area of the square = 42 x 42 = 1764 square meters

Area of 1 semicircle = π(21 x 21) /2

= (3.14) (441) /2

= 1384.74/2

= 692.37 square meters

Area of 4 semicircle = 4 x 692.37

= 2769.48 square meters

Total area = 1764 + 2769.48

= 4533.48 square meters

The area enclosed by the figure is 4533.48 square meters.

Stells [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's start off with the first equation

5x + y = 60

We need to find what X and Y are.

Let's try subtracting a few numbers from 60.

Let's do 60 - 55 = 5

11x5 = 55

11 = Children Ticket Cost

5 = Seniors Ticket Cost

Without them being the same price!

So using the numbers we found, we can now solve the second one

14x5 = 70

11x11 = 121

70 + 121 = 191

There we go!

Hope this helped! Please give brainiest if you can :)

East of Star, the railroad tracks intersect highway 23o as shown above. If 1=133 , find 2.
GrogVix [38]
Hi there.

These two angles sum up to be 180 degrees, so they are supplementary angles. Now, since these angles sum up to 180 degrees (to form a straight line), we only have to subtract 133 from 180 to find angle 2's measurement.

180 - 133 = 47

Angle 2's measurement is 47 degrees.

Voila!

I hope this helps! Have a great day. :)
