RNA primer is present on both leading and lagging strand.

RNA primer of about 10 nucleotides long are present on the leading strand and on each okazaki fragments on the lagging strand to initiate replication. The RNA primer is removed and replaced by DNA nucleotides by DNA polymerase.

Typically, acetylation of histone tails leads to relaxed packaging of the chromatin and increased transcription.

Transcription can be defined as a process which typically involves re-writing the informations contained within a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) into a Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) by enzyme RNA polymerase.

For example, if a climate change occurs - the temperature increases or decreases - it can cause the trees or plants to die and all the animals in the ecosystem also die when they have no food. But this process is sequential, so the change can take years, centuries or even millions of years.
