Answer: When a huge block of granite is exposed to the surface, then due to the changes in the prevailing temperature condition at that place, the rock layers will experiences certain changes.

The rocks will gradually expand due to high temperature, and again the rocks undergoes cooling due to the decreasing temperature. In addition to that, the water that gets accumulated at the joints and fractures, also initiates in the freeze-thaw process. This constant cooling and heating of the rock layers and due to the stress acting on that, because of the varying temperature condition, will lead to the breaking or peeling of layers, such as the onion layers, which is commonly know as exfoliation.

Cloud [144]

Answer:

The correct option is A. dihybrid

Explanation:

A cross is drawn to generate the possible outcomes of traits being passed from parents to offsprings.

A monohybrid cross can be described as a cross in which only one trait is studied. For example, just studying the trait for eye colour.

A dihybrid cross can be described as a cross in which two traits are studies in a single cross. For example, studying the traits for eye colour and skin colour.

How was the knowledge of ecological succession applied to the reclamation of land damaged due to mining?
Mandarinka [93]

After mining, to reclaim the land, the depression is filled with rocks then the top is filled with loosely graded soil. Introduction of early succession plants is important before big trees can grow. The early succession plants help in the breaking down of the rocks into soil hence making the topsoil deeper to support trees.
