The inverse function, denoted F^{-1}(x), of a one-to-one function F(x) is defined as

F^{-1}(x) = \{(y,x) | \text{ such that } y = f(x)\}.

Main properties:

1. F(F^{-1}(x)) = x, x in the domain of F^{-1};

F^{-1}(F(x)) = x, x in the domain of F.

2. The domain of F is equal to the range of  F^{-1} and the range of F is equal to the domain of  F^{-1}.

From these properties you can state that options B, C, D and E are true and points A and F are false.

Can someone please help me with this question about given two points?Please help ASAP!!! :(
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

<em>The order of subtraction is not important in any of the coordinates</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance Between Two Points

Given two points (x1,y2) (x2,y2), the distance between them is given by the formula

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

The difference between both coordinates is squared, then added, and finally extracted the square root.

Based on the principle that

a*a=a^2

and also

(-a)(-a)=a^2

We can notice it doesn't matter the sign of a the square of a is always positive. If we had subtracted in the opposite way, the distance would have resulted in exactly the same. In other words, the above formula is exactly the same as

d=\sqrt{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}

As seen, it applies for both coordinates

How do solve this problem 2/3 (2/8 + 4/8) =
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

2/3 (2/8 + 4/8) =

First simplify what is inside the parentheses

2/8+4/8 = 6/8

Replace with 6/8

2/3 (6/8) =

Then multiply

2*6 =12

3*8 = 24

12/24

Divide top and bottom by 12

1/2
