Do the political leanings of a network affect the news they report? During the the 2018-2019 Government shutdown, a left-leaning

news network and a right-leaning network both polled voters to ask who they thought was responsible for the shutdown. All together, 56% of the poll respondents said they thought President Trump was most responsible for the shutdown, while 44% thought others were most responsible. Assume that the left-leaning network polled 900 voters and the right-leaning network polled 1100 voters. If the polling data reported by two news networks are independent of their political inclinations, how many American registered voters would we expect to say that President Trump was responsible according to the left-leaning news network?

Answer:

504

Step-by-step explanation:

We are solving for the left leaning poll

Total voters = 900 + 1100

= 2000

Number of voters who say trump was responsible = 56percent x 2000

= 1120

Number of those who say otherwise = 44% x 2000

= 880

For this network

Those who say trump is responsible = 1120 x900/2000

= 1008000/2000

= 504 registered voters

Integrate this for me please
mel-nik [20]
\int\limits_{0}^{\frac{\pi }{6}}tan^2(x)sec^2(x)\cdot dx
\\------------------\\
u=tan(x)\implies \frac{du}{dx}=sec^2(x)\implies \frac{du}{sec^2(x)}=dx
\\------------------\\
\int\limits_{0}^{\frac{\pi }{6}}u^2sec^2(x)\cdot \cfrac{du}{sec^2(x)}\implies
\int\limits_{0}^{\frac{\pi }{6}}u^2\cdot du
\\ \quad \\

\textit{now, we need to change the bounds as well, so}
\\------------------\\
u(0)=tan(0)\implies 0
\\ \quad \\

u\left( \frac{\pi }{6} \right)=tan\left( \frac{\pi }{6} \right)\implies \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}
\\------------------\\
thus\implies \int\limits_{0}^{\frac{1 }{\sqrt{3}}}u^2\cdot du

and surely you can take it from there,
recall, that, since we changed the bounds, with the u(x),
you don't need to change the variable "u", and simply,
get the integral of it, simple enough, and apply those bounds

Which is true about the polynomial –3xy2 + 5x?y?
marta [7]

It is a binomial with degree 3

Explanation:

It has two terms: (−3xy2) and (5x2y) → it is a binomial

The degree of an expression is the largest sum of exponents of variables for any term in the expression.

−3xy2=−3x1y2 has a sum of exponents of variables =3

5x2y=5x2y1 also has a sum of exponents of variables =3

→ the expression has degree 3

What is the sum of ten terms of a finite arithmetic series if the first term is 13 and the last term is 89?
Natali5045456 [20]

Formula for the sum of n terms of a finite arithmetic series is

S_n=\dfrac{a_1+a_n}{2}\cdot n.

If n=10,\ a_1=13,\ a_{10}=89, then

S_{10}=\dfrac{13+89}{2}\cdot 10=51\cdot 10=510.

Answer: 510.
