The current area is 15 x 9 = 135 square feet.

He wants to increase both the length and width by X:

Set up an equation:

(15 +x) * (9 +x) = 135 * 2

Simplify :

x^2 + 24x + 135 = 270

Subtract 270 from both sides:

x^2 + 24x - 135 = 0

Use the quadratic formula to solve for x:

-24 +/- √(24^2 - 4(1*-135) / 2*1

x = 4.7 or -28.7

The answer has to be a positive value, so x = 4.7 feet.

Angle TSQ measures 68 degrees. When a ray bisects an angle, it divides it into two equal parts. Each part is one-half the measurement of the original angle. Several rays are described as bisecting different angles. I would sketch a diagram to keep track of all the different rays and angles.

A. Since angle RST is bisected by ray SQ, angle RSQ and angle QST are each half the size of angle RST.

B. Since angle RSQ is bisected by ray SP, angle RSP and angle PSQ are each half the size of angle RSQ.

C. Since angle RSP is bisected by ray SV, angle RSV and angle VSP are each half the size of angle RSP. We are given the measurement of angle VSP as 17 degrees. To find the measure of angle RSP, we notice in statement C above that VSP is half the size of angle RSP. If we double angle VSP's measurement (multiply by 2), we get angle RSP measures 34 degrees. Using similar logic and statement B above, we double RSP's measurement of 34 to get angle RSQ's measurement. Double 34 is 68, angle RSQ's measurement in degrees. From statement A above, we notice that RSQ's measurement is equal to that of angle QST's. Therefore, angle QST also measures 68 degrees. However, the question asks us to find the measurement of angle TSQ. However, angle QST and angle TSQ are the same. Either description can be used. Therefore, the measurement of angle TSQ is 68 degrees.

This would be a big help so plzzz help me =/
nikdorinn [45]

The correct order would be:

5/64 x 3, 1/16 x 3, 3/32 x 4, 11/64 x 4, 7/16 x 3, 3/4 x 2, 3/8 x 4, 1 7/8 x 4, 2.25 x 2, 1.5 x 4, 3 3/8 x 3, 3.75 x 3

First we have to take all of the numbers and do the multiplication. It's often easiest to turn them in to decimals so that you have a common form.

3/32 x 4 = 3/8 = .375

3/4 x 2 = 3/2 = 1.5

1 7/8 x 4 = 15/4 = 3.75

2.25 x 2 = 4.5

1.5 x 4 = 6

3/8 x 4 = 3/2 = 1.5

5/64 x 3 = 5/32 = .156

3.75 x 3 = 11.25

1/16 x 3 = 3/16 = .1875

7/16 x 3 = 21/16 = 1.31

3 3/8 x 3 = 81/8 = 10.125

11/64 x 4 = 11/16 = .687

Now we can use those to put in order.

5/64 x 3 = 5/32 = .156

1/16 x 3 = 3/16 = .1875

3/32 x 4 = 3/8 = .375

11/64 x 4 = 11/16 = .687

7/16 x 3 = 21/16 = 1.31

3/4 x 2 = 3/2 = 1.5

3/8 x 4 = 3/2 = 1.5

1 7/8 x 4 = 15/4 = 3.75

2.25 x 2 = 4.5

1.5 x 4 = 6

3 3/8 x 3 = 81/8 = 10.125

3.75 x 3 = 11.25

Which if you are looking for without the extra terms, you can check the answer at the top.
