An equilateral triangle is isosceles. NEVER

Equilateral has all sides which means that there will be no two sides equal and a longer/shorter side.

A right triangle is isosceles. SOMETIMES

A right triangle can have its two legs equal which has two adjacent angles measuring 45°. It can also not be isosceles.

For the first one. An equilateral triangle is one with three equal sides. An isosceles triangle is one with two equal sides. Therefore, every equilateral triangle is isosceles, but not every isosceles triangle is equilateral. So far, so book.

For the second one. Right triangles are defined as triangles that contain a right angle, where a right angle is an angle with a measure of 90°. Isosceles triangles are defined as triangles that have two sides of equal length.

On friday ,a museum had 185 visitors.on saturday,there were twice as many visitors as Friday.On Sunday, 50 fewer people visited
Taya2010 [7]
This is the equation
185+185(2)+185-50
185+370+185-50 (you multiply 185 times 2 first)
370+370-50 (you add 185 to 185)
740-50 (you add 370 to 370)
740-50=690
There were 690 visitors during these three days.

A 16-foot board is to be cut into two pieces so that one piece is 4 feet longer than the other. How long will the longer piece b
zheka24 [161]

Answer:

10 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

If x is the length of the longer piece, and y is the length of the shorter piece, then:

x + y = 16

x = y + 4

Substitute:

x + (x − 4) = 16

2x − 4 = 16

2x = 20

x = 10

The longer piece will be 10 feet long.
