Answer : The mass of NaHCO_3 needed is, 12.7 grams.

Explanation :

First we have to calculate the moles of HCl.

\text{Moles of }HCl=\text{Concentration of }HCl\times \text{Volume of }HCl

\text{Moles of }HCl=6.01M\times 0.0252L=0.151mol

Now we have to calculate the moles of NaHCO_3

The balanced neutralization reaction will be:

HCl+NaHCO_3\rightarrow NaCl+H_2O+CO_2

From the balanced chemical reaction we conclude that,

As, 1 mole of HCl neutralizes by 1 mole of NaHCO_3

So, 0.151 mole of HCl neutralizes by 0.151 mole of NaHCO_3

Now we have to calculate the mass of NaHCO_3

\text{ Mass of }NaHCO_3=\text{ Moles of }NaHCO_3\times \text{ Molar mass of }NaHCO_3

Molar mass of NaHCO_3 = 84 g/mole

\text{ Mass of }NaHCO_3=(0.151moles)\times (84g/mole)=12.7g

Therefore, the mass of NaHCO_3 needed is, 12.7 grams.

In which sample is the average kinetic energy of the particles the greatest?
tangare [24]
Temperature is a measurement of average kinetic energy of the particles in a sample which means that the sample with the highest temperature has the highest average kinetic energy of the particles.

That being said the answer would be 4) 10 mL of H2O (l) at 35 degrees Celsius since that sample has the largest temperature.

I hope this helps.  Let me know if anything is unclear.

a cube of iron (cp = 0.450 j/g•°c) with a mass of 55.8 g is heated from 25.0°c to 49.0°c. how much heat is required for this pro
krek1111 [17]
Q = ?

Cp = 0.450 j/g°C

Δt =  49.0ºC - 25ºC => 24ºC

m = 55.8 g

Q = m x Cp x Δt

Q = 55.8 x 0.450 x 24

Q = 602.64 J

Hello can somone help me ?

174 \; \text{protons} / (29 \; \text{copper atoms} \cdot \text{proton}^{-1}) = 6 \; \text{copper atoms}

Thus 174 protons would make at most 6 copper atoms. However, it would take 174 extra electrons (29 per atom) and even more neutrons than that to construct neutral copper atoms with stable nuclei.
