Zelie planned for a square pool to have a side length of 28 ft but found that it needs to be 14 ft long to fit in her backyard.
djverab [1.8K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the complete question

Zelie planned for a square pool to have a side length of 28 ft but found that it needs to be 14 ft long to fit in her backyard. She found the change of scale below.

Which is Zelie’s error?

Zelie should have divided both numbers by 14.

Zelie should have written the ratio as 28/7.

Zelie should have written the ratio as 14/8.

Zelie should have subtracted 14 from both numbers.

Original length of pool = 28ft

If he found that it need to be 14ft longer then the actual measure = 14th

given equation is;

(28 - 7)/14 - 7 = 14/7

Scale constant  = original length/actual length

Scale constant = 28/14

Scale constant = 2

Hence the scale constant is 2

According to the option, Zelei should have divided both numbers by 14.

Which of the following shows the solution to the inequality
otez555 [7]

Answer:

I got x = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

First to isolate the variable you add 3 to both sides which will give you 1/2x is less than or equal to 2. Then divide both sides by 1/2 and you will get x = 1. To check the answer I just did:

1/2(1) -3 \leq -1\\1/2 -3\leq -1\\-2.5\leq -1

And since -2.5 is less than -1 this statement is true. x does in fact equal 1

Identify the domain of the exponential function shown in the following graph. Explain how you know.
Dmitriy789 [7]

Answer:

The domain of the function is R i.e. any real value.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given figure is a graph on the coordinate plane of the function y = 10^{x}

Now, the domain of a function means that the values of x (Independent variable) for which the function is valid i.e. the y values are real.

It is clear from the equation given above that for any real value of x there will be a real corresponding value of y.

Therefore, the domain of the function is R i.e. any real value. (Answer)

For part a multiply the pound amount by 16. Your work would look something like this... (not actual answer) 10 pounds x 16= 160 ounces. So 10 pounds= 160 ounces!
For part B
0.15 gallons=1.2 pints
Example: .15 x 4= .6
.6 x 2= 1.2 pints
1.2 x 20 seconds= 24 pints!
Hope this helps
