30 dollars = your food bill at the restaurant

Now, you leave 20% for tip..
20% = .20
Then the sales tax charged for your bill is 6%
6% = .06

How much will you be paying in total?
=> 30 dollars * .06 = 1.8 - is the sales tax that will be added to your bill
=> 30 dollars + 1.8 dollars = 31.8 dollars.
then let's calculate the tip which is 20%
=> 31.8 * 0.20 = 6.36
31.8 + 6.36 = 38.16 dollars or approximately 83 dollars

An airline company claims in a recent advertisement that more than 94% of passenger luggage that is lost is recovered and reunit
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

The null hypothesis is  H_o :  p  \le  0.94

The alternative hypothesis is   H_a :  p  >  0.94

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The sample size is n =  315

   The population proportion is  p =  0.94

   The number of luggage that was recovered and reunited with the passenger in one day is  k =  276

   Generally the sample proportion is  mathematically represented as

       \r p = \frac{k}{n}

=>      \r p = \frac{276}{315}

=>      \r p = 0.876

The null hypothesis is  H_o :  p  \le  0.94

The alternative hypothesis is   H_a :  p  >  0.94
