Answer:

121km/h

Explanation:

Let speed of boat=xkm/h

Speed of water flow=33 km/h

Speed upstream=(x-33)km/h

Speed downstream=(x+33)km/h

Time=44 hrs

Time =77 hrs

We have to find the speed of boat.

Distance=Speed\times time

Using the formula

Upstream distance=Downstream distance

(x-33)\times 77=(x+33)\times 44

77x-2541=44x+1452

77x-44x=1452+2541

33x=3993

x=\frac{3993}{33}=121

Hence, the speed of boat=121km/h

A small block with a mass of 0.120 kg is attached to a cord passing through a hole in a frictionless, horizontal surface (Fig. 6
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

a) 0.147 N

b) 9.408 N

c) 9.261 N

Explanation:

The tension on the cord is the only force keeping the block in circular motion, thus representing the entirety of its centripetal force \frac{mv^{2} }{r}. Plugging in values for initial and final states and we get answers for a and b. The work done by the person causes the centripetal force to increase, and thus is the difference between the final tension and the initial tension.

What is the difference between the formation of an ionic bond and formation of a covalent bond?
Vikentia [17]

Answer:

Answer to the question:

Explanation:

Differences between ionic bond and covalent bond:

The ionic bond occurs between two different atoms (metallic and non-metallic), while the covalent bond occurs between two equal atoms (non-metallic).

In the covalent bond there is an electron compartment, while in the ionic bond there is an electron transfer.

Ionic bonds have a high melting and boiling point, while covalent bonds usually have a low point.

How are meteors and meteorites different?
konstantin123 [22]

A meteor is the flash of light that we see in the night sky when a small chunk of interplanetary debris burns up as it passes through our atmosphere. "Meteor" refers to the flash of light caused by the debris, not the debris itself.

If any part of a meteoroid survives the fall through the atmosphere and lands on Earth, it is called a meteorite.
