I believe the correct answer would be the standard heat of formation. The keyword in the statement would be synthesis and standard state. Synthesis would always mean formation of something and standard states would mean at a temperature of 25 C and 1 atm pressure.

3) How many moles of solute are dissolved in 1.5 L of a 0.80 M solution? * 10 points
Mrrafil [7]

Answer:

1.2

Explanation:

Molarity = moles/volume

to find the moles, you must multiply both sides by volume

so, take 1.5 L * 0.80 M

this equals 1.2 :)

Calculate the percent activity of the radioactive isotope strontium-89 remaining after 5 half-lives.
maria [59]
The answer to this question would be: 3.125%

Half-life is the time needed for a radioactive molecule to decay half of its mass. In this case, the strontium-89 is already gone past 5 half lives. Then, the percentage of the mass left after 5 half-lives should be:
100%*(1/2^5)= 100%/32=3..125%

Find the molality of the solution if 42 grams of lithium chloride (LiCl) are dissolved in 3.6 kg of water.
omeli [17]
The molality is calculated using the following rule:
molality = number of moles of solute / kg of solvent

From the periodic table:
molar mass of lithium = 6.941 gm
molar mass of chlorine = 35.453 gm

molar mass of LiCl = 6.941 + 35.453 = 42.394 gm
number of moles found in 42 gm = mass / molar mass = 42 / 42.394 = 0.99

molality = 0.99 / 3.6 = 0.275 m

We can dilute an aqueous solution by adding liquid water to the solution, resulting in a less concentrated solution. Which of th
Neporo4naja [7]

Answer: = C

Explanation:

evaporating some of the water contained in the solution will increase the concentration of the resulting solution, because there will be concomitant increase in the number of moles of the solute left in the solution.

explain observation made when anhydrous calcium chloride and anhydrous copper (ii) sulphate are separately exposed to the atmosp
Burka [1]

Answer:

Anhydrous calcium chloride  dissolves and becomes liquid

Anhydrous copper (ii) sulphate will produce crystal particles

Explanation:

Anhydrous calcium chloride is deliquescent and hence when it is exposed to air, it absorbs water from air. After absorbing water, it dissolves and after some time a pool of clear liquid appears.

Anhydrous copper (ii) sulphate will form crystal structures  and the following reaction will takes place

CuSO4 + 5 H20 --> CuSO4.5H2O
