How to divide 4 digits by 2 digits

Mathematics

Put the 4 digit number inside the division bracket and the 2 digit number on the outside( left).

let's say the 2 digit number is 34

and let's say that the 4 digit number is 5678

the set up would look like this

    34 / 5678

1. you want to look at the first two numbers of the dividend and see if 36 goes into it. This means: what number multiplied 36 will equal or be less than 56.

         36 goes into 56 once

2. you,d then and 1 to your answer and subtract 36 from 56

56-36 = 20

3. now you will bring the next number down that you haven't used, which is seven.

4. 36 goes into 207 how many times?

      5times

5 multiplied by 36 is 180 ( is couldn't be 6 because 36 multiplied by 6 equals 216 which is greater than 207)

6. you'd add 5 to your answer ( so far you have : 15 )

and you'd subtract 180 from 207

207-180= 270

you'd bring down a number a repeat.

I hope this helped ;)

How do u find the factors of 16
hoa [83]

Answer:

16:

4*4

8*2

1*16

Step-by-step explanation:

"Factors" are the numbers you multiply to get another number. For instance, factors of 15 are 3 and 5, because 3×5 = 15. Some numbers have more than one factorization (more than one way of being factored). For instance, 12 can be factored as 1×12, 2×6, or 3×4.

Rudiy27

Answer:

a(n) = -2 + 8(n - 1)

Step-by-step explanation:

General formula is a(n) = a(1) + d(n - 1), where d is the common difference.

Here a(n) = -2 + 8(n - 1)

Ronnie’s Rentals charges $25 plus $15 per to rent a chain saw for 5 hours. Write an expression to show how you could calculate t
iragen [17]

Answer:

The expression of total amount David paid is

y=25+ 15x

where y represents total amount in dollar, x is time in hour.

The total amount that David paid is $100.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

Ronnie's Rentals charges $25 plus $15 per hour to rent a chain for 5 years.

Let

Ronnie's rents a chain for x hours.

Given that,

Rental charge of a chain for 1 hour is $15

Rental charge of a chain for 2 hour is $(15+15) = $30 = $(2×15)

Rental charge of a chain for 3 hour is $(15+15+15) = $45 = $(3×15)

From the above we conclude that,

∴Rental charge = Time ×$15

Rental charge of a chain for x hour is = $(x.15)=$15x

The expression of total amount David paid is

y=25+ 15x

where y represents total amount in dollar, x is time in hour.

Now plugging x= 5 in the above expression

y= 25 + (15×5)

  =$100

The total amount that David paid is $100.
