The answer is D. When one places a hand over a fire, they feel the heat mainly because of heat transfer by convection. This occurs when hot rising air, heated by the fire, reaches your hand. Cold air shift downwards to replace the hot rising air and the cycle continues. Nonetheless, radiation also contributes some part to the heat transfer but especially when you place your hands to the side of the fire.
