<span>3x-10y=-25</span>Add 10y10y to both sides
        3x=−25+10y

Regroup terms
<span><span>3x=10y-25<span>3x=10y−25</span></span>
Divide both sides by <span>3 <span>3
</span></span>x=10y-25/3

Factor out the common term <span>5 <span>5
your answer: x=5(2y-5)/3

</span></span><span>4x+40y=20
</span>Factor out the common term <span>4 <span>4
</span></span><span><span>4(x+10y)=20</span>
Divide both sides by <span>4<span>4
</span></span>x+10y<span>=20/4

3x-10y=-25
4x+40y=20

12x-40y=-100
12x+120y=60

-160y=40

y=1/4
x=5/2

Simplify 4 to the 7th over 5 squared all raised to the 3rd power.
Radda [10]
First write out your original equation.
{(\frac{ {4}^{7} }{ {5}^{2} } ) }^{3}
Then use the law of exponents(power of a power) to simplify.
\frac{ {4}^{21} }{ {5}^{6} }
(Multiply the numerator and denominator exponents by the outside power.)

The answer is 4 to the 21st over 5 to the 6th.

the time t required to drive a certain distance varies inversely with the speed, r. if it takes 4 hours to drive the distance at
valina [46]
Hello,

Answer A

d :the distance in miles
t: the time in hours
v: the speed in miles/hours (vistesse)

d=v*t
==>d=40*4=160(mi)

d=55*x=160==>x=160/55=2.909090... (mi/(mi/h)=h)≈2.91(hours)

Conver the equation y=2 to polar form. Then solve the resulting equation for r. <br> Thanks :)
maksim [4K]
This is something to memorize

y = r*sin(theta)

so if y = 2, then

2 = r*sin(theta)

Divide both sides by sin(theta) to get

r = 2/sin(theta)
r = 2csc(theta)
