Answer:

distance \: btween \:

(5,3) and (-2,2)

=>

\sqrt{ {(5 - ( - 2)) }^{2} +  {(3 - 2)}^{2}  }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {(5 + 2)}^{2} +  {1}^{2}  }  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{ {7}^{2}  + 1}  \\  \\  =  \sqrt{49 + 1 }  =  \sqrt{50}  = 5 \sqrt{2}

Can u please help me with this math assignment
Troyanec [42]
Hard to read sideways but what I got from that is that you have a right triangle and you are trying to explain the other angles?
Both of the other two angles would be 45 because an angle is 180 total. If it is a right angle, that means that there is a 90 degree angle. 180-90=90. In a right angle, the other two angles are the same in degree. Therefor 90/2 is 45. 45 applies to both of the acute angles. I hope this helps! Good luck :)

A store has clearance items that have been marked down by 30%. They are having a sale, advertising an additional 60% off clearan
Schach [20]

Answer:

28%

Step-by-step explanation:

We get 30% off the original price

The new price is (100-30) = 70$ of the original price

Let x = the original price

The new price is .7x

Now get get an additional 60% off.  We pay (100-60) = 40 percent of the price

Take .7x * .4

The new price is .7*.4 x

                               .28x

This is 28 percent of the original price x

What is the measure of WUX in Circle V ?
Alja [10]

Answer:

arc\ WUX=120^o

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The complete question is:</em></u>

In circle V, angle WXZ measures 30°. Line segments WV, XV, ZV, and YV are radii of circle V. Circle V is shown. Line segments W V, X V, Z V, and Y V are radii. Lines are drawn from point W to point X and from point Z to point Y to form secants. Point U is on the circle between points W and X. What is the measure of Arc W U X in circle V?

The picture of the question in the attached figure

step 1

Find the measure of angle XWV

we know that

The triangle VWX is an isosceles triangle, because has two equal sides (VX=VW)

we have

m\angle WXZ=30^o\\m\angle WXV=m\angle WXZ

so

m\angle WXV=30^o

Remember that an isosceles triangle has two equal interior angles

so

step 2

Find the measure of angle WVX

Remember that the sum of the interior angles in any triangle must be equal to 180 degrees

so

m\angle\ WVX+m\angle XWV+m\angle WXV=180^o

substitute the given values

m\angle WVX+30^o+30^o=180^o\\m\angle WVX=180^o-60^o=120^o

step 3

Find the measure of arc WUX

we know that

arc\ WUX=m\angle WVX ----> by central angle

we have

m\angle WVX=120^o

therefore

arc\ WUX=120^o
