Answer:

0.3096g of glucose per minute

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Number of moles of O₂ needed per minute = 1.03 x 10⁻²mol

Unknown:

Mass of glucose the body consumes per minute =?

Solution:

The given balanced equation of the reaction is shown below:

                 C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O

We have been given the exact amount of all the oxygen gas required for the cellular respiration process per minute. Using this value, we can know how the reaction will proceed successfully.

  From the balanced equation:

              6 moles of O₂ reacted with 1 mole of C₆H₁₂O₆

therefore  1.03 x  10⁻² of O₂ will react with \frac{0.0103mole}{6};

       ⇒ 0.00172mole of glucose will react per minute.

To find the mass in grams of the glucose that will react, we use the expression below"

  Mass of glucose = Number of moles of glucose x molar mass of glucose

Molar mass of  C₆H₁₂O₆  = (12 x 6) + (12 x 1) + (16 x 6) = 180g/mol

Mass of glucose =   0.00172mole x 180g/mole = 0.3096g of glucose per minute

Ber [7]

Answer: 6.162g of Ag2SO4 could be formed

Explanation:

Given;

0.255 moles of AgNO3

0.155 moles of H2SO4

Balanced equation will be given as;

2AgNO3(aq) + H2SO4(aq) -> Ag2SO4(s) + 2HNO3(aq)

Seeing that 2 moles of AgNO3 is required to react with 1 moles of H2SO4 to produce 1 mole of Ag2SO4,

Therefore the number of moles of Ag2SO4 produced is given by,

n(Ag2SO4) = 0.255 mol of AgNO3 ×

[0.155mol H2SO4 ÷ 2 mol AgNO3] x

[ 1 mol Ag2SO4 ÷ 1 mol H2SO4]

= 0.0198 mol of Ag2SO4.

mass = no of moles x molar mass

From literature, molar mass of Ag2SO4 = 311.799g/mol.

Thus,

Mass = 0.0198 x 311.799

= 6.162g

Therefore, 6.162g of Ag2SO4 could be formed

Which type of lipid is found in the body and is converted into vitamins, hormones, and bile salts?
Illusion [34]

Answer:

C.sterols

Explanation:

Sterols or steroid alcohols are type of lipids. In plants they are present as phytosterols and in animals as zoosterols. They maintain the fluidity of cell membrane, act as signalling molecules and also form the skin oils in animals.

Cholesterol is an important zoosterol. It is a fatty waxy substance. It is present in cell membrane. It is also a precursor for vitamin D. It is precursor for steroid hormones like cortisol and aldosterone. When it is non esterified, it gets converted to bile.

Water has a density of 1.0g/ml * Physical Property Physical Change Chemical Property Chemical Change
Daniel [21]

The density of water is a physical property.

You can measure it without changing the water to a different substance.

It is not a physical change because the water does not change to ice or steam.

You can observe a chemical property or a chemical change only if the water changes to a different substance.
