Not much difference.
A covalent bond is formed between two elements of similar Electronegativity. Practically pure covalent bonds are possible only in homonuclear diatomics(O2,H2,etc.). All other strong bonds are either polar(considerable electronegativity difference) or ionic (very high electronegativity difference) in nature.

A covalent compound is simply one in which all the atoms are linked by covalent bonds. E

Using energy considerations and assuming negligible air resistance, show that a rock thrown from a bridge 23.5 m above water wit
Elodia [21]

As stated in the statement, we will apply energy conservation to solve this problem.

From this concept we know that the kinetic energy gained is equivalent to the potential energy lost and vice versa. Mathematically said equilibrium can be expressed as

\Delta KE = \Delta PE

\frac{1}{2}mv_f^2-\frac{1}{2} mv_0^2 = mgh_2-mgh_1

Where,

m = mass

v_{f,i} = initial and final velocity

g = Gravity

h = height

As the mass is tHe same and the final height is zero we have that the expression is now:

\frac{1}{2}v_f^2-\frac{1}{2} v_0^2 = gh_2

\frac{1}{2} (v_f^2-v_0^2) = gh_2

(v_f^2-v_0^2) = 2gh_2

v_f = \sqrt{2gh_2+v_0^2}

v_f = \sqrt{2(9.8)(23.5)+13.6^2}

v_f = 25.4m/s

Three basic electrical effects occur when an electric current flows in a conductor: A magnetic field is set up around the conduc
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

A drop in voltage occurs

Explanation:

When electric current flows through a conduct, there are three basic electrical effects that occur to the conductor;

1. A magnetic field is set up around the conductor,

      A magnetic field is formed around a conductor when current flows through it which makes it acts like a magnet. Application is used in electric bells.

2. Heat is generated, and

     The heating effect of current is due to the conversion of some of the electrical energy that passes through the conductor, into heat energy. Application of heat effect include electric iron, microwave oven, electric bulb, hair straightener etc.

                          H = I²Rt

3. A drop in voltage occurs

      Voltage drop is as a result of current passing through the impedance  offers by the conductor or circuit elements. When current passes through a conductor, the resistance offers opposition to the flow of the electric current according to Ohm's law.

A 75kg man goes up a tower 30 m in 120s. How much power did the man exert
Pepsi [2]

Explanation:

If g= 10m/s²

Then 75kg=75×10=750N

Since Work =Force ×Distance

Work=750×30

=22500J

And Power°=Work÷time

=22500÷120

=187.5W
