If you go to a website known as 'Wolfram' and type in the question they should be able to answer it.  It's basically a very smart calculator.  I'd add a link but I don't want to seem like I'm advertising, and it's against Brainly rules.

How is the percent efficiency of a machine determined?
NemiM [27]

Since work is the change in kinetic energy, the efficiency of a machine can be stated as the percentage of the output work divided by the input work minus the work lost from to friction and heat. Multiply Eff by 100% to get the efficiency percentage.

A wedge is a machine that consists of two inclined planes, giving it a thin end and thick end. A wedge is used to cut or split apart objects. TEA [102]

Answer:

(a) P_{power}=2688.53Watt

(b) P_{power}=3.605hp

Explanation:

For part (a)

As we know that

P_{power}=\frac{W_{work}}{t_{time}}\\As\\ W=1/2(mv_{f}^{2}-mv_{o}^{2} )So\\P_{power}=\frac{1/2(mv_{f}^{2}-mv_{o}^{2} )}{t}\\ P_{power}=\frac{1/2(56.0kg*(14.2m/s)^2-56.0kg*(0m/s)^2)}{2.1s} \\P_{power}=2688.53Watt

For part (b)

The power in unit of horsepower is:

P_{power}=(2688.53Watt)(\frac{1hp}{745.7Watt} )\\P_{power}=3.605hp
