to round this to the nearest hundred you have to look at the thousands place if it is above 5 you round the hundreds place one number up if the thousands place is below 5 then you just leave the hundreds number alone and drop the rest of the numbers off. so 53879 rounded to the hundreds place is 539 hope that helped
