Given: The molecule shown here contains four functional groups.Highlight all the atoms of the four functional groups, but do not highlight any bonds.

We shall consider four different functional group which shows different chemical properties.

01- Animo group: - NH₂ It will show the basic nature.

02- Hydoxyl group: -OH It will show the polar behaviuor

03- Carbonyl group: =CO It will show the polar behaviour

04- Carboxyl group: -COOH It will show the acid nature

If attache above functional group at the alternate position of carbon atoms in the required organic molecule then the required molecule will be

CH₂(NH₂)-CH₂-CH(OH)-CH₂-C(CO)-CH₂-CH₂(COOH)

Since above molecule contains four different functional groups so it will show four different characteristics properties.

Harrizon [31]
The aqueous product conducts electricity while the solid does not. Ionic solids do not conduct electricity, but ions dissolved in solution do. The chemical name of the base is calcium hydroxide. Increasing the temperature of the system would increase the rate of the reaction.

Select the statements that correctly describe a buffer. a) An acid added to the buffer solution reacts with the weak base of the
Tom [10]

Answer:

 • (B.) The pH of a buffer solution is determined by the ratio of the concentration of conjugate base to the concentration of strong acid.
 • (C.) A buffer is generally made up of a weak acid and its conjugate base.
 • (D.) The pH of a buffer solution does not change significantly when any amount of a strong acid is added.

Explanation:

A buffer is solution which resists change in pH upon addition of either acids or bases.

The pH of a buffer is calculated by the ratio of the concentration of base to concentration of acid. The weak acid and conjugate base have a Ka similar to the pH desired.

Explain why BH3 is trigonal planar and NH3 is trigonal pyramidal.
Troyanec [42]

Answer:o It is important to realise that mixing will be small unless there are electrons in the 4a1 LUMO, this is why NH3 is pyramidal while BH3 is planar! ... This mixing is very strong and stabilises the 3a1 MO substantially and hence NH3 is trigonal pyramidal and not planar.
