Explanation:

force = mass × acceleration

Solving for acceleration:

acceleration = force / mass

To find the acceleration, divide each force by the mass.  For example:

a = 480 N / 62 kg

a = 7.74 m/s²

If you've ever seen the formula from Celsius to Fahrenheit...

C=\frac59(F-32)

As you can see, if you put in some number of Celsuis C your answer is going to be multiplied by 5/9...meaning that 1°C = 5/9°F.

As for Kelvin, it's literally just Celsuis, but about 273.15° more.

B. 5/9°F

A plane takes off in san francisco at noon and flies toward the southeast. an hour later, it is 400 kilometers east and 300 kilo
eduard
This first step involves a right triangle. If the plane is 400 km east and 300 km south of the origin, and it flew in a straight line, then you can construct a right triangle with side lengths 300, 400, and c. You may recognize that these are multiples of the Pythagorean triple 3, 4, 5, so the side length c is 500 km. Otherwise, you would write
c^2 = 300^2+400^2 \\ c = 500.

This second step is, if I am correctly interpreting "degrees south of east," to find the angle formed by the horizontal line representing the east and the path of the plane. I made a diagram that does just that (see attached). You can use a trig function of one of the angles to solve. I chose
tan(C)= \frac{3}{4}  \\  arctan( \frac{3}{4})=36.870. Thus, I believe it is 37° south of east.

Assoli18 [71]

Answer:

4

Explanation:

The kilogram-meter per second (kg · m/s or kg · m · s -1 ) is the standard unit of momentum . Reduced to base units in the International System of Units ( SI ), a kilogram-meter per second is the equivalent of a newton-second (N · s), which is the SI unit of impulse .

A scientist is planning an experiment that will include the measurement of temperatures. She wishes to avoid using negative valu
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

C.

Explanation:

Fahrenheit scale is a temperature scale that measures the boiling point of water at 212 degrees F and the freezing point at 32 degrees F. The Fahrenheit scale was developed by the German scientist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit in 1724.

In the given scenario, the scientist, who wishes to measure the temperature of her experiment which will expectantly be colder than the point of water, should use the Fahrenheit scale.

So, the correct answer is option C.
