A segment has two endpoints and is a set length, thus it can be measured. A ray has one endpoint, and is basically a combination of a line and a segment. A line has no endpoints, because it extends forever in both directions.

Segments have 2, rays 1 (because it goes on forever in only one direction), and lines 0 (self-explanatory).

What is the value of b2 - 4ac for the following equation? 2x 2 - 2x - 1 = 0
Orlov [11]
For you to make an equation a quadratic equation, you need everything to be on one side, so you add one to both sides.

<span>2x^2 + 3x + 0=0 </span>

<span>a=2, b=3, c=0 </span>

<span>b^2-4ac (In the next step just plug in your variables) </span>

<span>3^2 - 4(2)(0) </span>

<span>9 - 8(0) </span>

<span>9 - 0 </span>

<span>Your answer=9</span>

ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y_{1} = - 4 - 2( - 3) = 2

y_{2} = - 4 - 2( - 2) = 0

y_{3} = - 4 - 2( - 1) = - 2

y_{4} = - 4 - 2( 0 ) = - 4

y_{5} = - 4 - 2( 1 ) = - 6

Range: { 2, 0, - 2, - 4, - 6 }
