The major negative consequence that the global dependence on fossil fuels would likely result is the worldwide phenomenon called the global warming. The burning of fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere wherein excess build-up of these causes to trap more sunlight on the earth's surface causing it to warm.

A snow ball is thrown upward at a speed of 27 m/s. How high is the snow ball 3.5 seconds later? Also, how fast is it moving at t
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

Dy = 111.66 [m]

t  = 3.5 [s]

Explanation:

To solve this problem we must use the equations of kinematics.

v_{f} = v_{o} - (g*t)\\

where:

Vf = final velocity [m/s]

Vo = initial velocity = 27 [m/s]

g = gravity acceleration = 9.81 [m/s²]

t = time = 3.5 [s]

Note: The negative sign of the equation means that the gravity acceleration goes in opposite direction

Vf = 27 - (9,81*3,5)

Vf = - 7.33 [m/s] (this negative sign indicates that at this moment the snowball is going downwards)

To find how high the snowball was we must use the following equation:

Dy=v_{o} *t+\frac{1}{2}*g*t

Dy = (27*3.5) + (0.5*9.81*3.5)

Dy = 94.5 + (17.16)

Dy = 111.66 [m]

As a football player moves in a straight line [displacement (3.00 mm)i^i^ - (6.50 mm)j^j^], an opponent exerts a constant force
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

Work done, W=(0.378i-1.092j)\ J

Explanation:

Displacement,

d=(3i-6.5j)\ mm\\\\d=(0.003i-0.0065j)\ m

Force, F=(126i+168j)\ N

Work done by the opponent do on the football player is given by :

W=F{\cdot} d\\\\W=(126i+168j){\cdot} (0.003i-0.0065j)\ m\\\\W=(0.378i-1.092j)\ J

So, the work done by the opponent do on the football player is  (0.378i-1.092j)\ J.

You are fixing a transformer for a toy truck that uses an 8.0-V emf to run it. The primary coil of the transformer is broken; th
Art [367]

Answer:

a. The primary turns is 60 turns

b. The secondary voltage will be 360 volts.

Explanation:

Given data

secondary turns N2= 40 turns

primary turns N1= ?

primary voltage V1= 120 volts

secondary voltage V2= 8 volts

Applying the transformer formula which is

\frac{N1}{N2} =\frac{V1}{V2}

we can solve for N1 by substituting into the equation above

\frac{N1}{40} =\frac{120}{8} \\\ N1= \frac{40*120}{8} \\\ N1= \frac{4800}{8} \\\ N1= 60

the primary turns is 60 turns

If the primary voltage is V1 240 volts hence the secondary voltage V2 will be (to get the voltage of the secondary coil using emf substitute the values of the previously gotten N1 and N2 using V1 as 240 volts)

\frac{40}{60} =\frac{240}{V2}\\\\V2= \frac{60*240}{40} \\\\V2=\frac{ 14400}{40} \\\\V2= 360

the secondary voltage will be 360 volts.
