The force F acting on a particle constrained to move along the x - axis is given by the fucntion F ( x ) = a x ( b − c x 2 ) [ a

= 8.97 , b = 7.83 , c = 5.65 ] Find the three equilibrium points x 1 , x 2 , and x 3 , and enter them in order of ascending x ‑coordinate.

Answer:

— 1.177

0

1.177

Explanation:

Given that,

F(x) = ax(b — cx²)

Given that,

a = 8.97

b = 7.83

c = 5.65

F(x) = ax(b—cx²)

F(x) = abx — acx³

F(x) = 8.97 × 7.83x — 8.97 × 5.65x³

F(x) = 70.2351x —50.6805x³

Then, For a body to be in equilibrium the sum of forces acting on the body is zero. i.e. F(x) = 0

0 = 70.2351x —50.6805x³

70.2351x —50.6805x³ = 0

x(70.2351 —50.6805x²) = 0

For the multiplication of two number to be zero, it is either one of the number is zero or both of the number is zero

Therefore,

x = 0 OR 70.2351 —50.6805x² = 0

x=0

70.2351 — 50.6805x² = 0

50.6805x² = 70.2351

x² = 70.2351/50.6805

x² = 1.38584

x = √1.38584

x = ± 1.177

Then, the equilibrium position is

- 1.177, 1.177 and 0

So, the ascending order of the equilibrium position is -1.177, 0, 1.177

Answer:

The equilibrium points include

x₁ = - 1.177

x₂ = 0

x₃ = 1.177

Explanation:

At equilibrium, the sum of forces acting on a body is equal to zero.

F(x) = ax (b − cx²) [a = 8.97, b = 7.83, c = 5.65]

F(x) = (abx - acx³)

= (8.97×7.83)x - (8.97×5.65)x³

F(x) = 70.2351x - 50.6805x³

At equilibrium, F(x) = 0

70.2351x - 50.6805x³ = 0

x(70.2351 - 50.6805x²) = 0

x = 0 or (70.2351 - 50.6805x²) = 0

70.2351 - 50.6805x² = 0

50.6805x² = 70.2351

x² = (70.2351/50.6805)

x² = 1.385840708

x = ± 1.177

So, x = -1.177, 0 and 1.177

x₁ = - 1.177

x₂ = 0

x₃ = 1.177

Hope this Helps!!!

3-6 seconds time interval is the object slowing down.

The correct option is C.

What is a time interval?

The time interval is the span of time among two specified times. To put it another way, it is the amount of time that has passed between the event's start and finish.

What are different time intervals?

The time interval is the length of time that the aim uses to gather data and determine values. The critical overview can be one or more seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. The period must be greater than zero and positive. When providing minutes, the amount of minutes must divide evenly by 60.

Block A, with a mass of 4.0 kg, is moving with a speed of 2.0 m/s while block B , with a mass of 8.0 kg, is moving in the opposi
Anon25 [30]
Consider velocity to the right as positive.

First mass:
m₁ = 4.0 kg
v₁ = 2.0 m/s to the right

Second mass:
m₂ = 8.0 kg
v₂ = -3.0 m/s to the left

Total momentum of the system is
P = m₁v₁ + m₂v₂
 = 4*2 + 8*(-3)
 = -16 (kg-m)/s

Let v (m/s) be the velocity of the center of mass of the 2-block system.

Because momentum of the system is preserved, therefore
(m₁+m₂)v= -16
(4+8 kg)*(v m/s) = -16 (kg-m)/s
v = -1.333 m/s

Answer:
The center of mass is moving at 1.33 m/s to the left.

A tub of water is placed in a small room and heat is removed from the room. What will most likely occur if enough heat is remove
NARA [144]

Answer:

(A)The water will freeze.

Explanation:

Heat is the energy that when transferred causes change in temperature. If heat is added to a body by some process the bodies temperature increases and if heat is removed from a body by some process the temperature reduces.

In this case if enough heat is removed from the room the internal movement of the water particles will slow down causing the water to form crystal lattice thus forming ice. So, the water will freeze.
